API Scores

The Scores

The state of California has released the 2012 Academic Performance Index (API) Scores for all schools in the state. We are very proud to announce our 2012 district API of 918

Since the state began to use the API as an indicator of school and district success, our district has consistently scored well above the state average, and is typically one of the top scoring districts in Northern California.

Please see the charts below to see how each of our schools scored and how our district compares to the other districts in Placer County.

Data Analysis

Each year district level STAR data is analyzed by the district curriculum and instruction teams, and their findings and recommendations are reported to the Board of Trustees and are shared at the school sites.  Site and grade level data is also analyzed each year, and goals are set based on the data.  In addition, each grade level tracks individual student scores so that they can target the students who are not yet reaching proficiency and provide the necessary intervention.  Overall we aim to see positive growth as a district each year.

Unique College and Career Ready Curriculum

The API scores validate our exemplary academic program, which is based on rigorous state content standards, however our API score is only one indicator of what the Eureka Union School district offers students.  While many districts around us have been forced to cut needed enrichment programs, we are very proud of the additional educational and enrichment programs we continue to offer the children in our district.  We provide our students with a dynamic education that focuses on vital 21st century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and character development.  Students are exposed to music, art, and foreign language offerings throughout the grades.  Our classrooms provide a distinctive learning environment utilizing the latest educational and technology tools, and our students are provided with meaningful, authentic opportunities to apply these important skills.  Read more about our College and Career Readiness program here

Partner With Us

The API scores validate our exemplary academic programs, but we also recognize that our students’ achievement is a direct result of the partnerships among our teachers, principals, and parents. This dynamic combination has allowed us to become one of the very best districts in the state.
