The Eureka Union School District is dedicated to developing learned and inspired global citizens. We will provide our students with a dynamic, rigorous education that focuses on collaboration, critical thinking, and character development. Our students will be supported in a nurturing environment which fosters the healthy academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each individual. Our partnership of students, families, educators and community members encourages creativity and celebrates innovation.
Our classrooms provide a seamless learning environment, utilizing the latest technology. Students in Eureka Union School District classrooms are exposed to content on a deep level and are provided meaningful opportunities to apply knowledge and skills.
Our curriculum is focused on the California Content Standards as well as an established set of 21st century skills that are addressed through our Challenge 21 program.
Communication and Collaboration Skills
In addition to the district-level teams, teachers work in grade level and curriculum teams at each site. Staff development days, summer institutes, and collaboration days provide time for us to work in groups on tasks that help us to develop effective Professional Learning Communities . As educators we value time to model life long learning as we expand our knowledge about research-based instructional strategies and strive to maintain a collaborative culture with a focus on learning for all students.
