Our goal in the Eureka USD is to encourage good health habits with our staff, students and families in order to foster good health and help prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Diseases, such as influenza, pertussis (whooping cough), enterovirus- D68, and Ebola have been featured in the news media recently.

The Eureka USD Health Services and administrative team, in collaboration with Placer County Health and Human Services and the Placer County Office of Education, will continue to monitor current information about these health issues and follow guidelines provided by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). Please review the helpful information from Placer County Health and Human Services in the following attachment. Thank you very much for your cooperation in keeping our schools healthy places to learn.

Public Health Communicable Disease Messages for Schools and Parents

Thank you to all of the families who attended Wednesday's

PTC Meeting/Common Core Mathematics Parent Night.

Thank you to PTC for hosting this event.  Thank you also to the amazing teachers who held inforamtional presentations in thier clssroom, which included teaching a Common Core math lesson to parents.

Another thank you also to our guest speakers, hearing about the high school perspective was informative and helpful as we prepare our students for higher education.

The math game kit and tips for parents was a special bonus of the evening.

We all came away with a better understanding of Common Core Math and how parents can better support their child's learning and understanding of the topics.

If you were not able to attend, please click this link for the Prezi presentation.

All handouts are attached below.
