**¡MUY IMPORTANTE!** STUDY TIPS: *MUST GO to "realidades.com" for pronunciation, extra activities and practice quizzes. There is NO excuse to not succeed! *Use what you already know. You already know Spanish words such as sombrero, hasta la vista, tacos, adios, hola, uno, dos, etc. *Use your knowledge of English to help you figure out new words (cognates) such as limón, delicioso, matemáticas, arte, social, inteligente, etc. You don't need to understand everything. Try to figure out what the meaning might be when you come across words or expressions you don't know. Keep on listening or reading. You'll be surprised how much you can understand without knowing every word. *Look for Strategy and ¿Recuerdas? boxes. These boxes will give you strategies or reminders of what you've already learned. *MAKE FLASHCARDS!!! Create a picture of the word when possible and on the other side write the word in Spanish. *Have fun! Enjoy practicing with other students, teach what you learn to other people, play games, act out skits, explore the Internet, and use technology. *Come with an open mind and ready to learn! |
